With flood insurance agencies and policyholders just a few days away from the expiration of the National Flood Insurance Program, one local expert says there is little certainty about whats to come. “We are coming back from the Thanksgiving break with no bill, no plan and four days left until the end of the National Flood Insurance Program,” Joe Rossi, chairman of the Massachusetts Coastal Coalition, said Tuesday. Congress granted the program a last-minute extension just hours before it was set to expire this past July, giving themselves until this Friday to work out reforms that some lawmakers are seeking.
