The National Weather Service confirmed two tornadoes produced by severe stormed that passed through central Iowa early Tuesday morning.

KNIA/KRLS Radio reported that a tornado was confirmed near Melcher-Dallas at around 6:10 a.m.
Heavy rain has caused some street flooding in Des Moines and surrounding towns. Traffic signals are out in several locations.
Power outages were in and around Des Moines. MidAmerican Energy said more that 20,000 customers experienced power outages.
