Three cars from a Norfolk Southern train came off the tracks about 9 a.m. Friday near Longs Park in Lancaster County. The derailment happened in the area of Harrisburg Pike and Vermont Avenue. The train was traveling from Lancaster to Lititz. A tanker car containing ethyl alcohol, a car filled with sugar and a flatbed car with aluminum derailed. Some sugar leaked and the car with aluminum went down an embankment. Tracks were damaged in the derailment, but no one was injured.
