An earthquake jolted Southern California on Tuesday, shaking buildings and rolling rocks onto some roadways but causing no major damage. The magnitude-5.4 earthquake was centered 2 miles southeast of Chino Hills in the eastern Los Angeles basin, said John Bellini, a geophysicist with the U.S. Geological Survey.
