67-Year-Old Woman Arrested For Faking Jewelry Theft
Friday, January 8th, 2016 Fraud PropertyA 67-year-old woman accused of falsely reporting $38,000 of jewelry stolen was arrested Wednesday. Attracta Kennedy of Rome was arrested on suspicion of insurance fraud and obstructing an officer after police found a $28,215 Rolex watch and $10,000 of rings and bracelets at her home in the 1300 block of Northwater Trail on Tuesday, according to police. In 2011, Kennedy was living in the same home when she reported someone had stolen her jewelry during a burglary, according to police. Her insurance company paid her $34,638 to reimburse her for the theft.
