Alabama awaits snow in north as Walker and St. Clair County recover from tornadoes
Thursday, December 11th, 2008 PropertyViolent weather Wednesday will give way to a punch of winter today, with northwest Alabama expecting 1 to 3 inches of snow and the Birmingham area likely to see a mix of snow and rain, forecasters say. The wintry blast has Walker County and areas to the north and west under a winter storm watch today, but it is expected to cause no travel problems in metro Birmingham.
