Chicago-based Aon Corp. reported today that it continues to make every effort to locate employees who may have been in lower Manhattan at the time of the World Trade Center attack.
"It grieves me to report that at this time, despite all of our efforts, we have been unable to obtain information from any sources concerning the safety of approximately 200 Aon employees," said Aon Chairman and CEO Patrick G. Ryan, in a statement released today.
Aon said that it has determined that approximately 1,350 of its employees were potentially at risk during Tuesday's tragedy. The total includes approximately 1,100 employees who were based in its offices in Two World Trade Center and another 250 employees who were traveling to New York or located in other lower Manhattan offices.
