Sunday afternoon storms hit parts of the East Valley with enough force to tear a roof off an animal hospital and leave electric customers in the West Valley without power on Monday.Arizona Public Service said 22 power poles were knocked down in Tonopah and that 151 customers could expect no power until about 10 p.m. Monday. The area is from Indian School Road to Mountain View, and from Orangewood to 373 Avenue.
APS also said 500 customers in Wickenburg were without power, but it should be back on by 11 a.m.
