Residents of Cold Lake are picking up the pieces after a large hailstorm battered the northeastern Alberta community. Trees were uprooted in southwestern neighbourhoods in the small city about 295 kilometres northeast of Edmonton sometime around 6 p.m. Sunday, said Cold Lake Fire Chief Jeff Fallow. "I wouldnt say this was a tornado because it looks like everything was pushed down from the wind," said Fallow, who added extensive damage was done in an area that covered two blocks wide and six blocks long. Fallow said his crews were busy when the storm hit.
