A road in Genesee County reopened Friday four hours after being shut down when a tanker carrying liquid eggs overturned and spilled in a farm field. The crash happened around 8:30 a.m. on Route 20 and Browns Mill Road in the town of Alexander. We’re told the tanker was heading to Canada; carrying liquid eggs which is used as an ingredient in dog food. The rig was removed from the scene. We’re told crews from the Department of Conservation will help clean up the egg mess later Friday or Saturday. The driver of the truck was not hurt. He was ticketed for driving too fast for the weather conditions.
