Dealing with loss of home to fire in Iowa
Tuesday, December 3rd, 2013 PropertyA cause for the fire has not yet been determined, but the end result remains the same: Mike McAbee, a local musician, lost his home Tuesday morning. Firefighters were called to Frankville about 8:50 a.m. When they arrived, the bedroom, where flames likely started, was engulfed, according to Fire Chief Monty Wilder. Decorah and Ossian fire departments also responded. Wiring may be to blame. Built in 1901, McAbees house previously served as Farmers Savings Bank.
