Early Morning Blaze Levels Pennsylvania Restaurant

A restaurant in Susquehanna County was destroyed by flames early Tuesday morning. Crews tell Newswatch 16 the fire started around 3 a.m. at Jenny Leigh’s Country Cookin’ in Kingsley. Fire departments from Lackawanna and Wyoming counties were called in to help crews battle the massive flames. Firefighters said the main issue was the lack of fire hydrants near the restaurant. Crews had to shuttle water to the scene using tankers. By 6 a.m., there was not much left of the long-standing business. The owner said she has insurance and plans to rebuild.
