Since last Sunday, wildfires fueled by Santa Ana winds have burned more than 465,000 acres of land across Southern California, destroying more than 1,600 structures, and driving more than half-a-million people from their homes. Losses from the wildfires could top $1.6 billion, according to Risk Management Solutions, a leading provider of services for catastrophe risk management.
