Thursday, December 14th, 2017 Litigation Property

A Tennessee rental company has filed suit against The Greenbrier, alleging the hotel failed to pay for rental equipment damaged June 23, 2016 — the same day the area was impacted by severe floodwaters. Special Event Service and Rental (SESR) Inc., of Shelby County, Tenn., filed a complaint Dec. 4 in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia against The Greenbrier Hotel Corporation, Old White Charities and John Doe Insurance Companies 1-20. The complaint said when the equipment was lost, The Greenbrier submitted an insurance claim in September and received a nearly $623,000 insurance reimbursement, but did not transfer the funds to SESR.
