The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has extended its filing deadline for Louisiana policyholders impacted by recent flooding. FEMAs National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) normally requires homeowners to file a Proof of Loss form to claim damages within 60 days of a flood. The agency has authorized an additional 180-day extension during which a policyholder may submit the form.
