Fire at Old Edison High School under control
Thursday, August 4th, 2011 Fraud PropertyFire crews say they have gotten the upper hand on a 4-alarm fire at the old Edison High School in North Philadelphia. Fire broke out just before 1:30 p.m. at the building at 7th Street and Lehigh Avenue. Heavy smoke was seen on arrival and a second alarm was struck about 10 minutes later, followed by a third alarm. A fourth alarm was struck around 2:30 p.m. The fire was declared under control around 3:30 p.m., but crews are still working to put out all of the flames.
