Thursday, July 2nd, 2015 Property

Two girls had to jump out of their second story apartment after a fire erupted, gutting the building. Firefighters were on the scene for several hours at the Morgan’s Landing apartments located in the 7800 block of Roswell Road in Sandy Springs. The fire broke out around 1 p.m. in building 200. Officials said no one was hurt, but two sisters received minor injuries jumping to safety. “I could hear banging on the window and I ran upstairs and told them to break the window and they broke the window and the older one was 17 and she jumped down and I looked up and a six-year-old was jumping down and I heard the glass cut her leg and her leg was gashed wide,” said Thomas Lemon.
