Fired Dickson City, Pa. cop loses fight for disability pension
Monday, March 24th, 2014 Fraud Litigation Workers' CompensationA former Dickson City police officer who was fired based on charges he illegally killed a deer and committed insurance fraud has lost a lengthy battle to obtain a disability pension from the borough.
The ruling by an arbitrator in the case of Thomas Logan is a significant win for the borough, which faced having to pay him about $39,000 a year for life, said Borough Manager Cesare Forconi.
