A Henderson County firefighter lost his home to a fire on Wednesday. Officials with the Valley Hill Fire and Rescue said they responded to a structure fire on Stanwood Lane around 11 a.m. Firemen realized the address was the home of a fellow firefighter. Dwight Hill has been a firefighter with Valley Hill Fire and Rescue for over thirty years. He never expected to respond to a structure fire at his own home, which is considered a total loss. Dwight and his father Bill, and his three brothers have all served as firefighters with Valley Hill Fire and Rescue, according to officials.
