A flying tire has caused some lane closures on Interstate 94 in Mount Pleasant. A report of an airborne tire was received at 6:21 a.m. north of County Highway C. Sheriff Chris Schmaling said a set of tandem wheels of a northbound box van came off and traveled into the southbound lanes of I-94. The wheels struck the front end of a Chevrolet HHR being driven by a 41-year-old woman. Schmaling said the woman was able to pull into the median and was treated at the scene for minor cuts from the broken windshield.
