Geico has sued several companies and group of individuals in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, alleging that they have implemented a "fraudulent scheme" by billing Geico and other insurers for hundreds of thousands of dollars for "illusionary and otherwise un-reimbursable glass services." In response, the defendants have filed a countersuit alleging Geico has refused to pay full price for glass services and have denied the allegations. If a consumer has comprehensive insurance coverage in Florida then the insurer must cover a windshield repair or replacement without charging a deductible.
