Hail damage widespread

People started forming a line outside A&D Auto Repair just after 7 o'clock Thursday morning. By lunchtime, the shop had received more than 500 phone calls. "We have lists and lists and lists of estimates that need to be done," said Justine Van Dyke, who works the front desk. "Yeah, we're busy." Auto-repair specialists, roofers, arborists and insurance agents were slammed with requests for help following Wednesday's hail storms. Golfball-size hailstones pounded Bozeman, dimpling cars and smashing windshields. Wind combined with the hail ripped the siding off homes and businesses, shattered windows and knocked out screens.
