Severe weather blew through the area Wednesday night, bringing heavy rain and strong, straight-line winds to Alto Pass. Thursday morning, there were linemen and cable workers lined up and down Main street, getting power and cable restored to residents. But for many homeowners, who got their first look of the damage in the daylight, they now know they have their work cut out for them this summer. One day after the hard-hit storm, beautiful sunshine took over. The type of weather that brings in many cruisers through historic Alto Pass, taking in the quaint store fronts and vintage homes. But Thursday morning, those well-kept lawns have drastically changed.
