Clean-up efforts continued in earnest around Portland Tuesday as crews worked to remove debris left from the tornado.
Only a few minor injuries were reported from the storm, which struck at 2:30 p.m. and traveled for four miles, damaging about 70 homes and about a dozen businesses, officials said Tuesday. The National Weather Service rated the tornado as an EF-1 and updated the maximum winds to 110 mph, which is the top of the EF-1 scale.Portland City Manager Tutt Gorman said roads have been reopened, but asked visitors to stay away.
