At the corner of Aline Avenue in the MLK neighborhood stands a dead end sign. It's a poignant reminder of what the raging Red River is leaving in its wake for areas across Shreveport. "Hopefully, we have a chance." Donald Bailey's family has been watching the water rise over the last few days, only to consume their neighbor's homes, and creep dangerously close to their own. "If it gets any worse, we're going to have to get the kids out of here. We have three, four kids in the house."
City officials are asking residents coping with flooding to document as much as possible, as soon as the water recedes and it's safe to return home.
