Thursday, June 12th, 2014 Litigation Workers' Compensation

An undocumented construction worker who was paralyzed in 2007 in a fall at a Milford job site has been awarded $4.5 million in the largest workers’ compensation settlement in state history. As part of the settlement, the insurer agreed to purchase and modify a dwelling at 24-year-old Estuardo Ceballos’ home in Central America and to provide him with a specially outfitted van. "We are pleased to have been able to effectuate a fair and just resolution of a difficult case," said Ceballos’ lawyer, Jon A. August, of Miller, Rosnick, D’Amico, August & Butler in Bridgeport.
