NU Online News Service, Oct. 2, 9:27 a.m. EST--The former College of Insurance, now the School of Risk Management, has temporarily moved classes from its location near the World Trade Center disaster site and lent its facilities to the City of New York to aid in recovery efforts.

The building is being used by the Red Cross to serve more than 5,000 meals a day to recovery workers, and for religious services, said Stefanie Gossin, a spokeswoman for St. John's University, which the school is part of.

The school at 101 Murray St., a few blocks from the Sept. 11 tragedy, was undamaged, Ms. Gossin said. All of the 208 students who were attending at the Manhattan campus have been accounted for, she said.

Students have been transferred to campuses in Queens and Staten Island, for this semester's course work, Ms. Gossin said. She was not certain when the Manhattan school would reopen.
