Letter carrier accused in disability scam

A United States Postal Service employee is charged with stealing more than $150,000 In Workers Compensation Benefits, collecting 75% of her salary tax free. Maria Chmielewski, 38, of 2990 Zulette Ave. in the Throgs Neck Section of the Bronx, is charged with one count each of grand larceny in the 2nd degree, criminal possession of stolen property in the 2nd degree, insurance fraud in the 2nd degree and offering a false instrument for filing in the 2nd degree.
