People stood outside a century old church and watched its bell fell into the building during an intense fire Thursday. St. Paul Lutheran Church in Martensdale is a total loss, according to firefighters, after a fire ripped through it at about 9 p.m. Seven fire departments were at the scene, but the flames still burned for hours. Firefighters had trouble getting enough water through the city system, so they had to truck more water in to the more than 100-year-old church.
