A Little Silver man faces fraud and attempted theft by deception charges, accused of filing a fraudulent insurance claim for property damages caused by superstorm Sandy, acting Attorney General John J. Hoffman announced Tuesday. A state grand jury indictment claims Farouk Soliman, 73, submitted a claim to Pacific Specialty Insurance Co. in November for a barn he stated was destroyed during the Oct. 29, 2012, storm, according to a news release from the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General.
