News 3 is digging deeper into the scale of damage left behind by a sudden microburst Monday night. It left a trail of destruction in the Midtown Columbus area. The Lakebottom, Wynnton, Overlook and Dinglewood areas received the biggest blows. In fact, some trees and power lines and poles are still littering the streets. It will take a while for crews to fully clean up the debris. All the damage knocked out electricity around the area. Robert Watkins with Georgia Power says less than 1,000 people were still in the dark around 6 p.m. Tuesday.
