It will be weeks, perhaps months, before it's known how much damage the recent flooding has done to Louisiana's agriculture industry. What we've seen so far, though, is enough for some to speculate it could be the worst such event in decades for farmers and ranchers along the Red River. "You're talking about thousands and thousands of acres that are underwater just in this area," said James Wagley, Natchitoches Parish president for Louisiana Farm Bureau Federation. "This is by far the worst I've ever seen it. Unless you're 70-something years old, you've never seen anything like this."
