Massachusetts Farmhouse Lost to Fire

Tuesday, November 11th, 2014 Property

Crews from fire departments across North Central Massachusetts battled a three-alarm blaze that broke out Monday night on Mulpus Road into today’s early-morning hours because of its sheer size. Crews were called to 111 Mulpus Road shortly before 9 p.m., for a report of a structure fire in a 2 1/2-story house. The fire quickly escalated to three alarms. Crews from Ashby, Townsend, Ayer, Shirley, Leominster, Lunenburg and Fitchburg all had crews on the scene helping to battle the fire. According to scanner reports, Lunenburg Fire Chief Patrick Sullivan was requesting multiple tanker trucks because of the sheer amount of water needed to fight the fire.
