New England storms knock out power
Friday, September 28th, 2007 PropertyHundreds of Mainers remain in the dark following powerful thunderstorms that swept across the state. Central Maine Power says 1,600 customers are without service, primarily in the Augusta and Rockland service areas. CMP communications center supervisor Kevin Howes says 45 mph gusts sent tree limbs crashing and knocked down a few utility poles.
