The tornadoes, hail and torrential rain that raked the state Wednesday were topped off Thursday by more of the same. The dire warning by forecasters earlier Thursday prompted Hamburg Mayor Cathy Crain to call U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officials and ask how much water might be headed toward her town, where the rain-swollen Nishnabotna and Missouri rivers meet.
