‘No less than 3’ tornadoes hit Lancaster County

At least three tornadoes swept through southern Lancaster County on Monday afternoon and damaged homes, garages and barns. That’s the preliminary assessment of Emergency Management Director Doug Ahlberg, who briefed the Lancaster County Board on Tuesday on storm damage. The National Weather Service office in Valley confirmed at least four tornadoes, three in Cass County and another in western Iowa on Monday evening.
