Detroit saw about 44% fewer fires during the Halloween period this year compared to 2010, city officials announced today. Between Saturday and Monday, 94 fires occurred across the city — down from 169 reported fires during the three-day period in 2010. Detroit Mayor Dave Bing credited the success to those who helped with the annual Angels’ Night campaign.
