A Youngstown, Ohio, woman has been convicted of setting fire to a rental property in order to collect insurance money, said Steven M. Dettelbach, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Ohio. Latasha Curtis, 33, was convicted on one count of conspiracy, one count of use of fire during the commission of a felony, and one count of maliciously damaging and destroying, and attempting to damage and destroy, by means of fire, real property used in interstate commerce and in activity affecting interstate commerce following a trial before U.S. District Judge Benita Pearson.
