Oklahoma City Construction Worker Killed In 14-Story Fall

Tuesday, September 13th, 2016 Workers' Compensation

A group of men in hard hats and neon vests stood staring up in silent reverence at the towering Oklahoma City construction project that had minutes earlier claimed a man’s life, that of their co-worker. A worker fell Friday from the 14th floor along with a piece of construction equipment called a scissor lift, a platform used to move workers vertically. His name was not released. According to the Oklahoma City Fire Department, the victim and lift fell together off the BOK Park Plaza tower, 499 W Sheridan Ave., a 27-story tower under construction along with two adjacent parking garages.
