Oklahoma DOI Aids in 12 Year Old Settlement

Oklahoma Insurance Commissioner John D. Doak is reminding consumers that the Oklahoma Insurance Department (OID) is here to help. A recent example of the Department’s efforts to help consumers involved a reissuance of an insurance check to a consumer for an auto accident that occurred more than 12 years ago. “This particular story is a significant victory, but it’s just one example of how my Department is willing and ready to help consumers sort through insurance issues and complications,” said Doak. “Consumers may forget that they have us in their ‘back pocket’ when it comes to navigating insurance problems or everyday insurance logistics. We are out there every day, helping hundreds of consumers deal with everything from reading a policy to complicated issues, such as this example.”
