Oklahoma Wildfire Razes Multiple Structures
Wednesday, January 25th, 2017 PropertyFirefighters from multiple departments were called out Tuesday to contain a wildfire north of Edmond that destroyed a number of structures. Crews from Edmond, Deer Creek, Oak Cliff, Guthrie, Cashion and Crescent battled the blaze in southern Logan County that ranged over as much as 200 acres of grass. Guthrie Fire Chief Eric Harlow said the fire was first reported on Meadow Rock Circle, near Broadway Street and Charter Oak Road. "We had a very fast-moving grassfire moving through some very heavy fuel loads coming in toward another residential area, which unfortunately, we had the unfortunate thing of losing two occupied mobile homes, several outbuildings (and) several round bales of hay,” Harlow said.
