Heavy rains that flooded streets and homes Tuesday could pose the same hazards today as rain-swollen area rivers peak, according to weather forecasters. Several areas in southwest Missouri reported that more than four inches of rain fell from Monday night to Tuesday morning as storms from Oklahoma entered the region.
