A man worker suffered severe leg injuries after he fell off a barge late Tuesday night at Port Canaveral, officials said. The incident happened around 10 p.m. The U.S. Coast Guard said a crewmember on board the Paula Lee dredge barge went overboard in the middle of the port's channel. A Brevard County spokesperson said the man struck a propeller and required "bi-lateral double amputation below the knee." Holmes Regional Medical Center's medical helicopter airlifted the worker to the hospital.
