Rain Has Vehicles Sliding Off Connecticut Highways

Firefighters responded to a tractor trailer crash on I-95 south, one of several crashes on a rainy Monday morning. The crash happened between exits 44 and 43, the fire department said. The extent of injuries wasn’t clear. A tractor trailer slid off the wet highway and went up over a guardrail, according to a New Haven Fire tweet. Crashes were reported on each of the state’s major highways early Monday, I-95, I-91 and I-84. For example, New Haven firefighters also responded to an accident on I-91 during which a car slid off the highway.
