The Intermediaries and Reinsurance Underwriters Association Spring Conference will focus on the impact of the Sept. 11 terrorism attacks on the insurance and reinsurance industry, the group announced.
IRU said it will convene March 11 in Las Vegas for a meeting of senior executives from major brokerage firms and reinsurance markets.
The group said it will discuss the impact of the terrorist destruction of the World Trade Center in the context of their assessment and outlook for the insurance and reinsurance industry.
A discussion of the broader engineering and building construction issues relating to property-casualty and worker's compensation risks will be provided by William Faschan, a partner with Leslie Robertson Associates, the structural engineering consultants for the World Trade Center, IRU said.
