Report: Pacific Northwest Winter Storm May Cause Insured Losses in Excess of $500 Million

Catastrophe risk modeling company AIR Worldwide Corporation estimates U.S. insured losses from the Pacific Northwest winter storm could exceed half a billion dollars in the U.S. Wind gusts of more than 90 mph were widely reported across Oregon and Washington and heavy precipitation caused localized flash flooding in western Washington and blizzard conditions in the eastern part of the state.
