Severe storms bring hail, wind damage to Georgia

Thursday, March 21st, 2013 Auto

Severe storms developed just in time for the evening rush hour on Monday, producing large hail, heavy rains, and very strong winds in many areas. Numerous tornado warnings were issued before the storms moved east and away from Atlanta. FOX 5’s George Franco was in Pike County, where lots of trees were reported down. The towns of Concord and Zebulon were especially hard hit. Authorities say there have been multiple reports of damaged structures, but fortunately, there has not been any damage reported to homes. They’re still not certain whether winds are to blame, or whether a tornado may have touched down in the area.
