South Carolina reforms workers’ compensation system
Tuesday, August 7th, 2007 Workers' CompensationSouth Carolina lawmakers took an important step to enhance the state’s pro-business climate last month when Gov. Mark Sanford signed into law business-friendly legislation that significantly reforms the state’s workers’ compensation system. The law’s goal is to stop increasing workers’ compensation insurance costs and inject much-needed predictability, consistency, and rationality into the state’s workers’ compensation system.
