
A young man was able to walk away from a wreck that split his car in half. According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the 18-year-old was driving on Loop 101 at Thunderbird Road in Peoria late Sunday morning when he veered onto the soft shoulder and lost control. His car clipped a tree, spun around and hit a second tree, ripping off the back of the vehicle. The front half then slammed head-on into a third tree, finally coming to a stop. The driver got out of the vehicle virtually unhurt.
