A Tennessee business owner has pleaded guilty to leading a cargo theft ring that operated in several states.
Federal prosecutors say 59-year-old Earl Stanley Nunn of Memphis, owner of Nu World Trucking company, used the company to steal cargo in several states, including a theft in West Plains, Missouri. Nunn pleaded guilty Monday to theft of an interstate shipment. The scheme involved driving tractor trucks without a semi-trailer through truck stops and services stations near interstate highways.
